Who taught you to knit and how long have you been knitting for?
My Mum taught me to knit when I was in primary school so I've been knitting on and off for a few decades now.

Why do you enjoy knitting?
I think my passion reignited when friends and family started having children. It was wonderful to create these tiny little outfits that the family could then keep and pass on through the generations The ability to create something you can wear with nothing more than knitting needles and wool is exciting to me. Plus I love movies and knitting is something I can do at the same time. On those cold winter days it's great to be inside creating something and being entertained at the same time.

What does it mean to you to knit for Revel Knitwear?
I find it inspirational that Shannyn has taken a skill taught to her by her Grandmother and then honouring that through the creation of Revel. It is a courageous thing to do and I'm honoured to be a part of her journey. It's also brilliant to see knitting featured in modern fashion design - proving it is a skill for all ages. Knitting for Revel has given me a great deal of purpose for my knitting and courage to branch out and try new things.

What’s one thing you would like our customers to know about what it takes/what it’s like to make clothing?
There's alot of love that goes into the creation of a piece of knitwear. I take huge pride in putting together the pieces I make for Revel and I worry about each and every garment - wanting to ensure it has been made to the absolute best of my ability. Take care of your garment and it will take care of you for many many many years to come.

I have a photo of myself in a gorgeous jumper I knitted 30+ years ago. Would love to have much the same but someone knit for me. Does Revel do that?
