The Classic Crew Sweater has been a popular style over the past 5 years. A staple chunky sweater, with its timeless design will only get better with age. Meet the knit kit- for those who would like to take on the challenge of knitting it for themselves. We hope you enjoy making your new favourite knit.

*Please note a wide eyed sewing up needle is required but not provided

Project Time: 15-20 hours (varies depending on skill level & individual pace)
Skill Level: Intermediate. We would consider Intermediate to be someone who has a sound understanding of basic knitting stitches, has read and followed a knitting pattern before and can sew up confidently. However we encourage beginners to give this a go if you are looking to try knit your first sweater- this would be a good place to start!

Sizing + fit: Generous/oversized style + fit (please refer to sizing guidelines for how to measure yourself). 3 sizes are provided in knit kit- Size A (Aus 6-10), Size B (12-14) Size C (14-16). Language: This pattern is written in English, using Australian sizing recommendations. We have endeavoured to write in a format that is intended to be easy to follow, we have also included video tutorials for those who benefit from visual learning.
Over the past 5 years, Revel Knitwear has focused on the creation of these hand-knits while also being a passionate advocate for conscious consumption and sustainability.
We now want to put the needles in your hands so you can create something beautiful. Stitch by stitch you will learn what it takes to make your own clothing. Hand-knitting is a labour of love, so enjoy the journey.
We hope that by making your own knit, it prompts a broader thought of: "Who makes my clothes?". In a world where we need to think deeper about how we consume, we encourage you to learn about how clothing is made and why buying from sustainably minded brands is so damn good for the world.

We knit with both cotton yarn and merino yarn, both of which are sourced locally in Victoria, Australia.
Our cotton yarn is a chunky cotton/acrylic blend.
Our merino yarn is made from 100% merino wool.
All of our yarns are soft on the skin and designed to last a long time when cared for appropriately.
Washing Instructions
Washing Instructions
We recommend hand washing your knitwear to avoid stretching and piling of the yarn. Use a wool wash, as other detergents can damage the integrity of the yarn. We sell an organic wool wash if you are looking for something that will wash well and is good for the planet. Click here

Domestic (Australia Policies)
For all domestic orders, we use Australia Post. Typically orders should take no longer than a week to arrive. You will receive an email confirming your order and a subsequent email when your order is dispatched. This will include a tracking number, which you can refer to when tracking your package. If there are significant delays, of more than a week on top of regular postage times, we will notify you via email.

International Shipping *due to Covid, we are still experiencing postage delays. Please see below for current locations and timeframes
We are currently shipping to the follow countries/zones (outside of Australia). We use Australia Post International Postage, with below times being approximated based on current Australia Post updates *last updated 15th February 2022. For pricing, please select at checkout

We send all our orders via Australia International post and will let you when your order is ready to be shipped. Tracking information will be included for you to follow your parcel. Postage time will vary as your order may go through customs.

Delivery T's & C's
Postage service
We are unable to accept responsibility of the product upon its postage to you. We will package your product in a cardboard box and seal to ensure your knit stays safe on its way to you. However we are unable to determine postage delays or take responsibility for missed deliveries. If you are having any postage issues, please refer to the postage service and tracking number provided. Please don't hesitate to contact us at revelknitwear@gmail.com if you have any questions though and we will help the best that we can :)
Customs
If we are shipping Internationally (outside of Australia), please consider any customs charges you may incur from your own county. We will provide appropriate customs documentation, however we are unable to take responsibility for any additional customs charges that occur in your country. Each shipping country has different policies, so local taxes and duties will need to be remitted by receiver if requested from customs.
